No CommentsThese are Spanish or other restaurants which have a decent range of sherries on their wine list:
Moro, 34 – 36 Exmouth Market, London EC1R 4QE
This really is a bit of a star on the London Spanish restaurant scene. They really know their onions, so to speak, when it comes to sherry. The No 38 bus will whisk you there from the West End (Oxford Street) in no time. Hop off at Rosebery Avenue (Tysoe St) and it’s just around the corner.Eyre Brothers, 70 Loonard Street, London EC2A 4QX
Looks very interesting, along with the Sherry they also have a Madeira section to their wine list! The Kensington Wine Rooms, 127 – 129 Kensington Church Street, London W8 7LP
They have a great tapas menu (we ate at the bar) and there is a great list of Lustau sherries to pair with the tapas or anything else you fancy. Very good! By lucky chance my brother and sister in law have moved in around the corner, so I can see more visits on the horizon.Barrafina, 54 Frith Street, London W1D 4SL
I’ve been there once. They were a bit rude and unfriendly, but it was definitely worth it because I thought the food and accompanying sherry were great. They don’t take bookings and there is sometimes a queue of people to get in apparently (I did turn up about 15 minutes before 5pm and sat outside watching the staff have their meeting before bagging my barstool – all in the name of research).Fino, 33 Charlotte Street, London W1T 1RR
(Entrance on Rathbone Street)
A stable-mate to Barrafina. I have not been for years, but did go several times. Tapas at the bar was my favourite thing and they always seemed to have something interesting to pair with a glass of sherry.Ibérica, 195 Great Portland Street, London W1W 5PS
I have not been to Ibérica, but both Spittoon and Cheese and Biscuits have. Sounds good!Cigala, 54 Lamb’s Conduit Street, London WC1N 3LW
I’ve heard good things, so plan to go for the first time soon. Nice range of sherry on their wine list. The Brindisa restaurants all have decent sherry lists, especially Casa Brindisa and Tierra Brindisa:
Casa Brindisa, 7-9 Exhibition Road, London SW7 2HE
Tierra Brindisa, 46 Broadwick Street, London W1F 7AF
Tapas Brindisa, 18-20 Southwark, St London SE1 1TJDehesa, 5 Ganton Street, London W1F 9BP
A good selection of sherries, including Javier Hidalgo’s Pastrana Manzanilla (made with the help of Cristiano van Zeller), one of my favourites.Salt Yard, 54 Goodge St, London W1T 4NA
Similar selection of sherries to Dehesa above. I wonder if they have the same supplier?Barrica, 62 Goodge Street, London W1T 4NE
Apparently a well arranged wine list with sherries and Montilla wines carefully explained. Mentioned by Patricia Langton in an article in Harpers.Number 22, 22 Half Moon Lane, London SE24 9HU
Tapas restaurant which apparently has a nice range of sherries. Mentioned by Patricia Langton in an article in Harpers.Camino, The Regent Quarter, Kings Cross N1 9AF
They have a separate Vinos de Jerez section to the wine list. Must be good!El Faro, 3 Turnberry Quay Pepper Street London E14 9RD
Friends of mine who work at Canary Wharf have been here and the reaction seems to be quite positive.Pinchito tapas, two restaurants at the moment. One near Old Street and the other off Tottenham Ct Rd.
